WELCOME TO DAVIS BROOK FARM

The bees aren't the only ones intoxicated by over 600 varieties of daylilies bursting with color. Our family owned daylily farm opens its garden gates to the public for the bloom season, and swarms of gardeners from New England and beyond buzz in to carry off armloads of nature's palette back to grace their home gardens.

Cornell horticulturist and owner, George Timm introduces the "Monadnock Series". Daylilies hybridized in Hancock, New Hampshire and registered with the American Hemerocallis Society in honor of Mt. Monadnock, south western New Hampshires tallest peak. Look for these northern hardy daylilies in our catalog.

LEARN MORE ABOUT DAYLILIES

Recently bitten by the "Daylily Bug"? Did you know that daylilies, a herbaceous perennial, originated in Asia? The multitude of flower shapes, bloom sizes, flower color patterns, bloom seasons and flower scape heights came from selective breeding of the orange and yellow species daylily. There are even fragrant daylilies! To learn more about daylilies, read "The Basics" here on our site.

REPEAT BLOOMERS

Repeat blooming daylilies are all the rage, garnering a lot of publicity and advertising. We do carry many repeat bloomers, but do so for their many attractive qualities in addition to their re-blooming potential.

Daylily plants will re-bloom under ideal conditions in warmer locations of our country, giving the gardener an encore performance later in the growing season. Here in southern New Hampshire we usually are not so fortunate. Read our thoughts under "Planting and Care".
